Mangystau is remote and conditions can change quickly. We travel in a Toyota Land Cruiser 4×4, assess the route before entering difficult terrain, and change the plan whenever the surface is not safe.
A white salt crust can hide soft ground underneath. Our team chooses the safer route and carries recovery equipment for remote travel. No photograph or landmark is more important than the people with us.

No special physical preparation is required. Most of the journey takes place in comfortable 4×4 vehicles, and there are no difficult hikes or steep climbs. Our vehicles can reach most locations directly.
If you choose the "Travel with Diana" package, Diana will personally accompany your group. Other tours are led by experienced, professionally trained local guides and drivers.
During the desert expedition, we provide three freshly prepared meals a day and drinking water. Meals include local Kazakh dishes and simple international food. Please inform us in advance about any allergies or dietary requirements. Restaurant meals in Aktau are not included.
Accommodation in a traditional yurt at an ethno-village is included in the tour price. During the warmer months, guests stay in yurts. In colder weather, accommodation is provided in warm, heated modular cabins. Conditions are simple, clean, and comfortable for an authentic expedition experience.
Bring comfortable closed shoes, practical outdoor clothing, and warm layers for evenings. In autumn and winter, warm and windproof clothing is essential. In summer, bring a sun hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and light breathable clothing. You should also bring personal medication, toiletries, a small backpack, and a power bank.
